A lot of work to do, but I'm quite excited.

Big mind/ heart battles today.
Realizing that my defensiveness is a really terrible thing,
and I tend to ruin a lot of relationships for this reason,
and I'm ready to work on this.

Day 7

Technically, this is from Day 6, but yesterday was awful,

and I refused to post anything fun.
The first part of the day was actually really lovely.
Cotton Candy Sheridans with my beautiful friend Annie & her pretty nails.
She even found the shoes I've been wanting REALLY badly in MY size!!

The dollar bill picture was just for sheer comic relief..
I had to pay the toll and put a dollar there, then thought,
"Oh, so this is what strippers feel like." roflcopter
Then the day ended with a brutal blow
and a lot of figuring out how I'm going to pay rent
and a lot of praying and remembering, as Annie said, "Our God is bigger than rent." :]

Phew. That's a lot of talking for a lass who wants to keep it short.

Such a terrible day.

when I am constantly being beaten down.

Day 3 and I still haven't managed to get a full 8 hours of sleep since the end of school.

Drained.

Attended church for the first time in a few weeks,

and the last time for a few months.

I have been so blessed by my church here since I was a freshman.

Couldn't have been graciously given a better place to grow in faith.

Spent some QT with Annie & TJ.

watching Lost.. which I don't like very much at all..

BUT, I do like friend time so I'm willing to sacrifice.

Day 2

Went with my favorite boys to celebrate an early birthday for Ryan.

Words can't describe how much I love these guys.

Obviously, we have fun.

Day 1

This is a blog to document possibly my last real summer.

Today is day one of my summer blogging adventure. 

As most of the people I entered college with graduated today,
I simply worked. The clouds were looming all morning,

then the skies opened and a torrential down pour ensued.
A midst the storming, I tried to sell my collection of textbooks to Half Price.
Huge fail. They offered $9 for the whole loot.
I graciously declined.

I mean, it's not the most exciting of ways to start out the summer...
but there were some definitely low key parts of today that I needed
as I am coming down from a seriously stressful semester.

The last picture is after all of the messy weather of the day.

Just another sign of the theme of this semester,

God continually restores brokenness, even when the end is unforeseeable.
